Born in Ukraine, Vladimir Grigorenko came to the US to paint the icons in the Iconostasis of the St. Seraphim Orthodox Cathedral in Dallas TX, and to decorate the entire church with frescoes. Vladimir accepted my invitation to talk to us about this work of great beauty presently underway in St. Seraphim. He also takes us through the various stages of his life as an iconographer and shows us why, in these present times, Traditional Byzantine Iconography must be revived from the inside out, if it is to survive. Interesting and fascinating!
