Welcome to Icons Explained Blog ! ..... How to post a subject on this Blog

If you stumbled onto this page and never heard of "Byzantine Icons", then please click the links that follow to get these questions answered : (1) What is Icons Explained ? (2) What are Byzantine Icons ? (3) Would you show me one ? The Icon / History, more images

If you found and clicked the link http://Icons-Explained.blogspot.com to get on the Blog page : Great ! Welcome !
If you want to post a subject, then in what follows you will find a short description for how to do that.

First is to sign in to use Bloggger because Blogger does not allow anonymous posts. So go ahead and click on "Sign In" (top right). If you have a Gmail account, you can use the same user name and password. There are other ways to sign in as well. Once you have signed in, you will be directed to the "Dashboard" page. In its upper part, the Dashboard has a white header box. In that box look for "Manage Your Blogs" with underneath it "Welcome to Icons Explained Blog". Underneath "Welcome" you will see "New Post". Click on it to be taken to an area where you can write your post.

When you have finished writing your post, click on "Save Now", then on "Preview". If you are satisfied with what you did, click on "Publish Post". If you are not satisfied, click on "Return to list of posts", then click on "Edit" to the left of your own post in that list. Now edit your post, then click on "Save Now", then on "Preview", and finally click on "Publish Post". Sometimes the "Save" button reads "Save as Draft". Just click on that too. It will take you back to the List of posts. In that list, click again on "Edit" left of your post. Then click "Save Now", and finally again, click "Publish Post". And that is it. Your post is on the web !

I might add that the foregoing looks tougher than it is. Most of the time, however, once you click on a button, you will be automatically taken to where you need to go next. The whole thing is very well done. And imagine, in the meantime you have been writing directly on the World Wide Web ! Isn't that amazing ! This sure has got to be the simplest website there is. Also, the writing or dialog is not just between you and the webmaster. Anybody can write or post here and express an opinion, on the same subject or on anything else. It should be understood, however, that whatever you intend to write on, it will need to fit with the context of Byzantine Art and Icons.

Thank you for your attention, and
Looking forward to reading your post !
